Nutrition Disclaimer
Effective 12 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-12
1. General information
Recipes, nutrition values and calculators in VitalityHub are general information for healthy adults. They are not nutrition counselling and not dietary therapy.
2. Where nutrition values come from
- Nutrition values are calculated from official databases: the Swiss Food Composition Database (FSVO/BLV) and, where it has nothing, the German Federal Food Code (BLS, Max Rubner Institute).
- Scanned products come from Open Food Facts, an open database maintained by volunteers. This data may be incomplete or wrong; you confirm it before saving.
- You enter your own foods yourself.
Real food varies with variety, ripeness, preparation and amount. The values shown are therefore approximate. We never estimate missing values or invent nutrition values.
3. Allergies and intolerances
The app does not check allergens. If you have allergies or intolerances, always check the ingredient list and packaging of the products you use.
4. When to ask a professional
Talk to a doctor or a registered dietitian if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an illness (for example diabetes or kidney disease), take medication, want to lose or gain a lot of weight, or have a difficult relationship with food.
5. Food safety
Pay attention to hygiene, sufficient cooking times and correct storage. Recipes are suggestions; results depend on ingredients, equipment and preparation.
6. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage resulting from the use of recipes, nutrition values or calculators. Liability for intent, gross negligence and under mandatory law remains unaffected (see Terms and Conditions of Sale). See also the medical disclaimer.
